Irish Soda Bread*: This is a traditional quick bread that originated in Ireland. Its name is derived from the fact that it uses baking soda for leavening. Irish Soda Bread is usually made with buttermilk; raisins and caraway seeds are often included. If requested, a cross can be with a knife on the loaf top. Irish Soda Bread is a tender bread that would be an appropriate addition to any meal of the day.
*Our standard Irish Soda Bread includes raisins and caraway seeds. We can modify the bread for you if you prefer raisin and/or caraway seed free bread. Please specify your preferences with your order.
